Kidderpore and Garden Reach Trail with Rangan Datta

Gigantic temples housing giant shiva lingas, massive mansions housing century old establishment, sad tales of the journey across kalapani and last but not the least a strange connection with Nawab Wajid Ali Shah and the famous Indologist William Jones. This is Khidirpur and Garden Reach, two of Calcutta’s least explored territories. The port and river makes these two south Calcutta neighborhoods an interesting area with a series of known and unknown stories.
